Operation
 |
The primary
air enters the inlet port and passes through the
Filter element where solid particles are trapped.
Water and oil particles are thrown against inside
wall of the bowl by centrifugal force The liquid
particles run down and collect into the bottom of
the bowl. Clean air, then flows the upward
into the regulator section. Here, the flow is restricted
to establish the desire pressure at the outlet.
The regulated air, pressure acting under neath the
diaphragm is balanced by the force of the adjustment
spring. When the pressure rises above the set point,
it pushes the diaphragm away from the relief hole
and the excess air finds its way to the atmosphere
through the bleed hole, till it again reaches the
set point pressure. |

Regulation Characteristics
 |
Keeping
the Air Flow constant, the variation in the set
Output Pressure (o/p), with reference to the changes
in the Input Pressure (i/p) defines the Pressure
Regulation Characteristics of a Filter Pressure
Regulator.
Vishal Air Set successfully maintains the variations,
in the Output Pressure within Tolerable Limits
of max. 5% (In case of Low Range) & 10% (In
case of High Range), even if the change in the
Input Pressure is ± 50% taking care, the same
is kept higher by min. 6% of the set output pressure |
|
Flow Characteristics
 |
Keeping
the Inlet Pressure constant, the Output Pressure
is set & as the flow increases, the droop which
occurs across the valve with regards to flow in
the characteristics of flow for a Filter Pressure
Regulator. Pressure Droop dampens the performance
of an Air Set.
Vishal Air Set successfully reduces the Pressure
Droop by a Sensing Hole, which connects the chamber
beneath the diaphragm to the port, wherein the valve
is seated. As the flow increases, the droop occurs
which in turn forces the diaphragm (due to spring
load) to push open the valve, thereby compensating
for the Pressure Droop.
A large port is responsible for higher discharge
of air through the valve for quick recovery of the
droop. |
